Darwin news...

Hi all,

I drop you a quick line to let you know that everything's fine down here in Darwin.

I spent a week fluffing around and partying after 15 days and 3000km driving and camping through the savanna road, Northern Queensland and Territory, with 2 four wheel drives.
Obviously, no reception nor internet!
A fabulous journey in the middle of nowhere with plenty of further photos, emotions and comments that I will sort out when I'll settle in Broome.
I've had an amazing time in Darwin!

Broome and the west coast, next destination and adventure...
I'm heading off by bus, tomorrow morning by 7.15.
Not really comparable with the previous trip, a 24h journey as a new job is waiting for me there, as well as a new appartment...a new life to start all over again, and pretty much my life for the past 21 months.

I've got $15 dollars in my pocket to get there...

You'll hear from me soon!

Warmest hugs, Nico

Heading to Darwin!

For those who take some of their time to support me through my blog, thank you again...

I'm leaving Cairns tonight after a wicked week and heading to Darwin and the Northern territory (about 2800km) with a toyota landcruiser, 2 scottish (1 girl, 1 guy), 1 english girl, 1 american girl and 1 israeli guy.

About 1 week hitting the road through the north route and the Carpentaria gulf, mainly dirt roads and wilderness, sounds good fun as pretty much everyone is heading through the south road...okey the arborigenes are sort of full on with the racial and discriminative thing but I'm rather sure it's gonna be allright...
Concerning "wolfcreek", just trying to make abstraction of the context...and for those who haven't seen the movie, just watch it!

As you already understood, we split up with Nat as she flew out to Sydney to pick up the campervan she just bought.

Anyway, I'm truly looking forward to being on the road again and I guess I'll get in touch when I reach Darwin!

Till then take it easy,

Nico
